So I have this old logitech PS/2 type keyboard and slotted it in my pc (it uses a Z87 motherboard) and it doesn't light or anything at all its just attached to it but nothing happens no detecting of drivers as in nothing

what is the problem with this as before I stored this keyboard away it was working fine

if you're wondering what I'm using to type this inquiry now is its because I'm typing on a K800 wireless keyboard from logitech (thought I'd use the PS/2 one since the keys on the wireless is getting down too deep already from years of "abuse" :p )

There may be a setting in your bios to turn off/on the PS/2 keyboard. Does your board have a PS/2 plug or are you using an adapter to a usb? Also check that you don't have it plugged in to the mouse slot. (Keyboard is the one closest to the motherboard,)

the "slot" that you speak of is only one and it can be a keyboard or a mouse attached to it as long as its a PS/2 connector (saw a keyboard and mouse picture near the PS/2 port)

how about that bios thing where do I check it out there?

any general clue?

im using a MSI Z87 MPOWER MAX
