Question Why is my PC not compatible with windows 11?

When I go to upgrade it says my pc is not compatible, here are my specs:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz 4.20 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

By default, only 8th Gen or newer Intel are compatible.

There are workarounds, but why would you?
Win 10 is supported unto Oct 2025. At which time your 7700k will be 8 years old.

i7-7700K is intel 7th gen CPU released 1 qtr 2017
now Discontinued in 2020

cut off for window 11 is intel 8th gen CPU released aug 2017
