Hi, when i start up my pc i have trouble logging in because it's so damn slow, and it's even slower when i have logged in and get go the desktop. i have nothing running at starup and i think i have a pretty decent pc for it not to be sooo slow.

Specs:
Intel Core i7 8700 Coffee Lake
MAG z390M Mortar Motherboard
16gb DDR4 3200mghz Corsair
NVIDIA geforce gtx 1060 6g (MSi gtx 1060 6gb gaming X)

My specs from CPU-Z

So i wonder, how can i improve the startup speed?

Solution
Without buying a new SSD, a few things to try:
• Defragment your hard drives. Click start and type defrag, then click on the defragment program. Now, analyse and defragment each hard drive (one at a time).
• Repair potentially corrupt Windows files. Click start and type CMD. Right click command prompt and choose run as administrator. Now, type sfc /scannow and hit enter. Wait for this to fully complete.
• Clear startup programs. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del buttons, then choose task manager. Here, click the startup tab, and untick anything you don't need/want. Male sure to keep necessary things such as anti-virus, video drivers, Steam etc.
Transferring the windows on an SSD should make a great difference.
Other than that you should make sure that fast start-up under power management is enabled as it helps a lot on hdds.
A fresh windows installation should give a couple of seconds.
But the best course of action is getting an SSD. You will see remarkable difference.
