Question Why is my pc suddenly running worse

Tried to play mw2 today and I would have high cpu usage and low gpu usage .
And I did a benchmark with userBenchmark and its way worse than before

You didn't happen to drop the PC recently?

What CPU cooler?

RAM installed in slots a2-b2 and XMP enabled?

What's running in background?

What case? How many fans? How are they oriented?

Why is OS on that HDD and not the NVME?

I never dropped it

Just a regular intel heatsink

Ram is in a2 and b2 and I dont think I have an XMP option

Nvidia geforce experience in background ,windows antimalware service , and windows audio device graph

And this is the computer I just upgraded the ram and gpu in it

The cooler is probably loose. It's a POS so might as well replace it with a real cooler. Something like a Dark Rock 4 Pro.

Check if the game’s graphic settings are still the same as before, sometimes they reset after an update or account switch depending on the game (especially make sure the resolution is set right, higher resolutions mean more power reqs).

Also what do you see under the performance tab in the task manager? Any resources on 100% usage?

His background usage is over 50% and his CPU is 1.5ghz under base frequency! It's not a games graphics setting or resolution issue!

I did not see the 1.5ghz average clock speed, that is indeed very low for a game like that. Wonder if the pc is trying to slow itself down due to high temps or perhaps something like power saver is turned on. Background usage is a broad term for me but could also be part of the issue sure.
