Why is my samsung SSD 860 evo 500gb running at half speed !?!?!

so i just got this SSD today and i had pluged it all in and have put my windows booter to it when i got on i dowloaded samsung magician
and did a benchmark but i only got Read 283(MB/s) Write 261(MB/s) this is on Sequential on Random (IOPS) i got read
49,804 and on Write 45,898. So why am i gettin half the speed??

It sounds like you are connected to a SATA II port rather than a SATA III . What motherboard do you have ?

Yep. Sounds like a SATA II port.

That shouldn't have any SATA II ports. The next likely candidate would be the cable. Try a different SATA cable.

Did the motherboard not come with cables? Try one of them. It is likely that your 45cm cable is the problem.

also i have put my bootup to it but it did not go faster how do i fix that i have the samsung SSD 860 evo 500gb but when i went online and saw vids on people rebooting its liek 5x faster mine takes like 100sec

The SSD can only impact the time from the "Loading operating system" prompt to the desktop. If there is a long delay before the "loading" prompt then it is in your BIOS. Mine was 17 seconds with an M.2 drive.
