Why is my scanner not recognised after installing a webcam

I installed a peripheral webcam and my epsom rx 425 printer scanner is not recognised in scanners and cameras in control panel. The printer works the scanner wont I run windows XP. ALSO MY DAUGHTERS CAMERA NOW WONT DOWNLOAD PICTURES ON PC.

Possibly the webcam is pulling too much power off the USB socket. Try disconnecting the webcam and see if the other devices then work. If so, try adding a USB hub with a power unit.

Tried that still not coming up in control panel. Its obviously something to do with the introduction of the webcam, which I use But I do need the scanner I dont know if I can operate in a different mode.

Try reinstalling the scanner's software.
