Question Why is my SSD so slow?

So I recently bought the SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB a little while ago. The advertised speed is "up to " 7,000/6.500 MB/s. When I ran a benchmark with CrystalDiskMark my read speeds were great! but for some reason my write speed is only at about 2,000MB/s. If anyone has any idea why this might be the case please let me know.

What motherboard?

Is 'write cache' enabled?
It should be by default, but check.

What else might have been running at the time you did the benchmark?

Back when you built this system, did you go and install all the relevant base level motherboard drivers from their website, or just let Windows Update do its thing?

Wallpaper engine, G Hub, NZXT Cam in the tray but I didn't start any programs otherwise.

I didn't build it, it was a pre-built from NZXT. The streamer pro or something like that. All I did was clone the ssd that came with the pc and swap in my new one.

Turn off ALL that stuff you listed.

I'm using the slot closest to the CPU.

My CPU is the Ryzen 7 5800X

Yea the only hardware I changed was putting in a better ssd
