Why is the Intel Core i7 4770k Good for Gaming?

People keep on recommending me this processor instead of the i7 3930k which is a hexa-core.

Cause most of the games only use 2 cores anyway, and also cause the 3930k is built on old chipset, and 4770k on the latest. But if you only want to game, I would rather recommand you to go for an i5-4670k.

well im not sure if the similarities will carry over but the new consoles are going to have eight cores so the pc versions coming out may be optimized for high multi core use (no way to say for sure) but i would assume its a good possibility....... those consoles and their games are still 6 or so months off but thats really not long

because 4770k is more powerful than 3930k.
