So i built a P.C a few months back and installed a corsair RGB fan on the back. i have tried to control the speed and RGB lighting but i cant find it on both the corsair ICUE software nor the motherboard software.

the fan is a corsair LL120 https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Magn...ateway&sprefix=corsair+ll,aps,355&sr=8-4&th=1

the motherboard is a MSI Z390 pro carbon https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Magn...ateway&sprefix=corsair+ll,aps,355&sr=8-4&th=1

i connected the fan to SYS_FAN2 on the MB and the fan turns on but i can't control the fan's color or speed.
thank you,

Did you connect the RGB pin? Each fan should have 2 different cables. Also, if you're hooking up more than one (or two depending on motherboards) LL120 you may need to buy one of those Corsair adapters like the Commander or Lightning Node Pro to make it work.

so my fan only came with one cable. does the JRGB pin come separately or is it supposed to be attached? because mine came with one 4 pin header. i tried to connect it to the JRGB on the motherboard but it does not seem to work.

thanks.

Corsairs RGB headers are proprietary (Non-standard) It's the one reason I refused to buy them. So you'll need to use their RGB adapters. If your fan is running, your BIOS should be "seeing it" If you have a Fan RPM reading (usually visible in the BIOS) then your motherboard "sees" the fan. And if you connect the fan via the motherboard, you need to use the motherboard software (not corsair's) to control it's speed.
