[SOLVED] Why is there disparity between different hardware monitoring softwares ?

I recently did my first manual latency modification of my memory in the bios. I dropped the latencies. My pc boots up fine and the settings are still saved in the bios. the problem is cpu-z reports 2 different sets of timings. furthermore I tried to verify this with another software called Speccy. Speccy sided with my maual bios timings, while cpu-z shows xmp timings in the spd tab and my manual timings in the memory tab.
Does anyone know what information is acuracte? Did my settings not carry over?
I am relatively new to memory overclocking so forgive my ingorance if it is blatently obvious.

correct cpuz spd show the jedec timing, that is what is on the ram spec
memory tab is what you are running.
