Hello, I have a difficult problem with my RAM.

My PC specifications:
  • MSI B350 PC MATE
  • AMD RYZEN 1500x
  • Nvidia GTX 1070
  • 600W PSU 80+ Silver
  • ADATA Premier 8 GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 + a similliar one, from adata too, just cant find the model

I tried:
  • Reseating
  • switching DIMM slots
  • Putting them into other two empty DIMM slots
  • playing around in BIOS
  • updating BIOS
  • Running them one at a time, both worked if solo and showed up correctly
  • dusting them off
  • dusting off the slots
  • regedit (dont remember what, though I followed a tutorial. Had 0 effect)
Windows 10 is showing that both of my 2x8GB is installed, yet only 8 GB is usable.

CPUZ also says that I have 16 GB

Even Bios shows, that both DIMMs are installed but only one is active?

Well, apparently reseating them dozens of times did the trick? Thats the way I solved it last time too.
I seated the ADATA 8GX8 8GB DDR4 2400 Mhz 17 cl first, then ADATA 8GX8 8GB DDR4 2666 Mhz 19 cl after a reboot and bam. working now.

Memory modules sold as Singles have no guarantee to work in any configuration other than as a Single module. You are free to test memory that has never been tested together before for compatibility with no guarantees.
The mystery is that I had this working for more than a year nonstop. They showed up and acted completely as they should. I did have this problem once before but reseating them fixed it. Just suddenly today I checked and saw this issue.
