why isnt my cannon camera formatting

hi. i have a cannon 650d camera and i put the wrong SD card ( it was too small ) in it, but i took it out and put back my old one. when i opened the photo gallery, it said " card not accessible, format card". but when i tried formatting, it said " not able to format ". What should i do?

Have you locked the SD card? (Small switch on the side of the card)

Try the card in a card reader on a computer, see if it will read the card. You can also try another card in the camera to see if it will read it.

You could have damaged the connectors when you put in the wrong card if a second good card also does not work in the camera.
