That's the colour that's leaked out of your TV that's making it sticky.

OP - at the very least tell us what sort of connection you are using to your TV. HDMI, VGA, composite, or something else?

I thought maybe it was a common thing,Sorry.
I didn't know what else you needed to know.
Windows XP.DSL but with my wireless laptop,S-video 4 prong.
Anything else..weight height

So you have S-video cable connected from your laptop to your TV? Sounds like your cable or port is bad, try a different cable. S-video separates color info from image info, so you can easly be getting one but not the other.

Check the pins on the cable, one could be bent, if none are bent, try a new cable.

If a new cable does not help, you may have an issue with either output on the laptop or input on the TV. At that point, try connecting another S-video device like a DVD player and see if that gets you color. If it does, you have an issue with your laptop's S-video out.
