Hi. I just bought an Asus x510uf weeks ago and now I have found out the laptop color is problematic when displaying black and dark content. The top left and top right of the screen seem yellow or maybe brighter than other parts (and if I touch back of the screen, this effect covers more area). I'm wondering whether or not this is normal and expected. Should I have my screen cheked/fixed by customer care? Thanks in advance.

RMA the laptop for a new replacement if you can. at least make them put a new display on it

if it's yellow in the corner, that isn't right, and you should be Completely happy with your purchase.

@mehri76 I realize this is marked as "Solved," but I think the issue may have been slightly mischaracterized.

The yellowish, pressure sensitive hue you described sounds like backlight bleed. A lot (most?) LCDs suffer this to varying degrees. Some of it is due to pressure from the bezel/frame, some is inherent in the tech and can't be easily mitigated.

If what you're dealing with is indeed backlight bleed, a replacement screen/laptop/RMA service will almost certainly leave you with a similar looking screen (maybe better, maybe worse).

If what you're looking at is more like discoloration on any given image, that's a defect that should more likely be covered under warranty or warrant a return/replacement.
