[SOLVED] why memory is showing up less

Question-
kind of a noob question but it is 8gb and shows only 5.95 as usable in 'My computer' settings
i know 8gb is not 8gb its always less but is it really this less? or i just paired wrong Rams? or motherboard or CPU is not compatible with the ram.

P.S-
-ram stick came in individual packs so no it wasnt a pack of two sticks.back then ram costed Kidneys and i didnt know Ram and rest of the components compatibility is a thing.
-system is running fine, so are games, i am getting similar FPS as they are in youtube 2200g videos..

With RAM 8GB's is 8GB's but your using a CPU with integrated video. The video part sets aside RAM for its use. You should be able to change the amount used in bios. Something like this video shows for example.
