Question Why my AIO and case fans run at lower rpm than expected :(

Hi there,

I use my PC for rendering and fully utilize all cores. I need very good cooling as I've overclocked my CPU 50% in BIOS with asus ai oc. I use HWMonitor to monitor PC vitals and to my disappointment I see that my 7 case fans and my AIO cooler max at ~1630 rpm instead of ~1800 rpm as stated on the box leaving some potential on the table.

I've adjusted all my fan curves in BIOS to reach 100% usage when CPU temp reach 70 °C (158°F ) but they never spin faster than 16xx rpm... WHY?

Any idea?

HWMonitor may not be able to read the exact RPM of the fan so the fact that it says 1600 does not mean your fans are not running 100% speed.

Thank you for replying. Is there a better/ more accurate software to monitor fan rpm?

What are the temps in this system?
Max RPM is not always needed or beneficial.

Values shown in BIOS are most close to the truth usually.
