BACKGROUND Story:
So i had a new GTX 750 Ti, and im pretty sad that it was not compatible with my mobo. My Mobo is ECS H61H2-M12, I thought the gpu is faulty, but i tried it on my friend's pc and it work well. he told me that the mobo might not be compatible, and maybe he is right. at first i thought it was my psu, mine is 400w while the minimum for 750 ti is 300w, i tried the psu on my friend's pc and the 750 ti still works, but not on mine, even tho i tried his 500w psu on mine.
he got similiar mobo with h61 too (idk which one) with the same 1155 socket. but its not working with mine, then i tried on his other pc which had the 775 socket, and it works fine too which made me confuse. he said maybe my bios is not up to date, and he told me to update it or change my mobo entirely. i wanted to try updating my bios but he scared that something bad might happen and i did too, so no.
So my point is, should i try to update the bios using youtube as my guide, or should i change my mobo.
my biggest problem is, that IF i updated the bios, is well, it might destroy the mobo entirely if its fails.
then if i buy a new mobo, well, i'm afraid that its still not compatible. what do you guys think i should do?
