Why my hard disk didn't show any hard drivers in "my computer" file when i put my hard drive in laptop?

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

For example -

On the laptop you had Mac OS.

On the PC you have Windows Vista 32 bit

You might then need to have different drivers installed.

I dunno what is that. But how do I check it?

If you don't recognise the desktop screens I guess you have to look eg Has it got Control Panel - then its Windows.

Trouble is Windows 7 can look completely different to Windows 8 at Desktop.

You'll need to find out what OS so you can also download the drivers you need for your laptop.

If this is a hard drive with the OS on it you might have to re-install it too depending on whether its a reatil version of Windows or OEM (pre-installed)

Is there another hard drive in your laptop - that has Windows on it?

Can you go into Control Panel, Device Manager, Disk Drives and see if the hdd is working and whether the drivers are up to date.

I put the hard disk in the laptop, but there isn't have any Disk Drivers on it, it only shows SAMSUNG HN-M500MBB SATA Disk Device. That isn't my hard disk drivers....

So I gather the Samsung disk is the one with Windows 7 on it.

What make and model is the new hard drive that you are putting in?

Does it show up at all in Control Panel, Device Manager, Disk Drives?

My hard drive is WD Elements 10A2 USB Device (I test on my computer/pc) But when i try it on my laptop, it didn't show anything , only show
SAMSUNG HN-M500MBB SATA Disk Device.

Oh USB Device. I though it was another sata device.

Does the WD show up in Device manager any where?

Doesn't matter now. Sometimes drivers from Microsoft don't work.

But now you see it in Device manager, it should show up in Windows Explorer - does it?
