[SOLVED] Why my new SSD has 4 power cycles in SMART?

Hello,

I've just bought a brand new Samsung SSD and the first thing I did was checking its SMART record with the CrystalDiskInfo.

What strikes me is that it was the first and only startup with this SSD in the system, but it already has 4 power cycles on the counter and 2 (!) unsafe shutdowns! How's that possible? Was it factory testing or I shouldn't consider it new?

Well, I can assume that. But you are saying 'probably' — it would be better to know for sure. I just need to know if I should go back and return it.

Why would that matter, if your drive has been powered on - 1 or 4 times

Do you have any issues with the drive?

Run some benchmarks, check with samsung magician.
If everything is good, I wouldn't see any reason to send it back.
