Why My new SSD slower than HDD 2018

I have a Dell Studio XPS 435T computer. I upgrade the cpu and replace the os hhd to ssd but i found the performance was very poor. Anyone can tell me why?

Did you install a new OS or copy the old drive to the new one? Does have the proper sata drivers installed? In the BIOS, is the sata mode on IDE or ACHI?

Sorry for posting the same question! I am kind of new using forum.

I haven't installed the new os. I cloned the os to the ssd. I haven't install any sata drivers and I haven't change the bio

Did you resuse an old SATA cable or use a new one? I believe your computer only has SATA2 ports on it so those ports are a bottleneck for the SSD, however, you should still be seeing better performance than that.

Check your SATA mode settings in the BIOS, for optimal performance, you should have it set to AHCI.

Did you not pay attention to the part about "Performing below potential (4 percentile) -
Ensure that this drive is connected to a SATA 3.0 port with a SATA 3.0 cable"

Something is not set up right on your motherboard for your SATA ports. You probably want to check the bios and very the setting and make sure it is in AHCI mode.
