Hi I have Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD. I installed windows 8 on it yesterday and installed few programs like Office, Adobe suite, antivirus, etc and moved Libraries to my other HDD. Also I set the OS for maximum performance which in turn turned off superfetch, paging etc.

So in the end I have around 23.3 GB data on SSD. But Samsung Magician shows me 0.16 TBW. Which keeps on increasing by an increment of .01 TBW every few hours. Like it was around .05 TBW when window was installed and then its constantly increasing.

Please help me out in finding what's happening around.
Thanks

Windows, Office, Adobe Updates
Do you have Indexing turned off?

1 day is not NEARLY enough to judge write cycles. Leave it for a month or so and see what it is.
My 2.5+ year old SSD (OS and applications) has ~8.5TB TBW. That is TINY as far as drive life.

Main (and only) suggestion is to not fill it up too much. Leave about 15% free space.

Other than that, nothing really. The concept of SSDs dying early from too many writes is VASTLY overblown. It was a concern with early consumer grade SSDs, but that has been taken care of.
