The resolution does make a big difference. Some people do use TVs as monitors, but IMHO, a computer monitor has a better picture quality.

Oh, and I wouldn't get that first one even for use as a TV. Check out the reviews.

Have you seen any official reviews about using a 32" TV at 1920x1080 as a monitor? I don't how they'd quantify it, I really want to know how bad the resolution on that size will matter. I tried hooking it up to my friend's 52", and it was miserable to try to see it all. I had to literally move my head constantly to see all parts.

Most games support 16:9 and 16:10 resolutions. A lot of people use a 32" TV @ 1920x1080 as monitors so there's really no need for "official" reviews. Some people like it, some people don't. The resolution on that size of a screen is quite decent and I wouldn't be against using one as a monitor. And if you have to move your head a lot, you're sitting too close to the screen.

So you have been asking why not to use TV as a monitor here are some honorable mentions
Input lag :- almost every TV has more input lag compared to a cheap monitor , if you are not gaming on that you are good to go . And if still wanna buy a TV for gaming LG has a new TV which they market as first gaming TV with least input lag
Hope this helps
