If you are using windows,do the following steps.
1.Go to the destination folder of pop the forgotten sands.You can do this by right clicking the desktop icon and click properties then open file location.
2.In that folder,open game settings.
3.Then change screen resolution to 640x480 and tick vertical Sync.
4.Change the graphics quality to low and uncheck high resolution textures and click ok.
You are done.I promise you that nothing will happen to the game but the writings wont be so clear.
If you want to make that clear then change screen resolution to 800x600.Now it should look better.
