Why ram sometime need to be reseated?

Having a troubling day with 4 BSOD errors which all seems related to RAM, i wonder why ram need to be reseated.

btw my rig is just 2 months old and everything is new.

If properly mounted, re-seating should not be necessary. Are you sure you have your memory fully inserted into the slots on your motherboard (and locked into place)?
