Apparently, DVD Burners are now Sata. Why the change? Is the extra bandwich necessary, wasnt IDE alreay enough???? MAn, Im gonna run out of Sata ports and sata power cables......
Been that way for at least 3 years. Motherboards have reduced or eliminated IDE connections to use those channels for other features. But if your board has SATA and PATA/IDE, you can use the PATA/IDE for your burners. I can't see any difference in play or recording between SATA and PATA/IDE.
