I bought a Lenovo LOQ 15, mdl 82XV002LUS for the keyboard, ports, expand-ability and price. It's replacing a desk bound laptop that's dying. Not a gamer but, for the money, I'm not finding a 16" or even a 15" with all the features I'd want for near this price. Got the LOQ for $630 plus tax and I can take it back by Friday.
So far, from extensive reading, I think I'll be pleased with it except the screen. I'll do a bit of light video editing but have no need for 100% RGB, in all the 'sectors' of the screen.
My question is two-fold:
1) I think I can tweak the graphics settings and use ClearType to make this screen sharper for reading and have better color. If you think that's misguided vs. buying a better laptop, please convince me why?
2) Do you think it's worth returning and shopping again come Presidents' Day for something that can do light gaming?
Thank you for any feedback.
Cheers,
Mac
