Why slow

hi Guys

i was build my new rig.But pc is slow.i cannot imaging which components is wrong with this spec.Can u tell me whits wrong.

cpu q9550 2.83
ram corsair 4GB
vga evga 9800 GTX
PSU corsair 650W
HDD 160 GB 5200 RPM

do i need to upgrade ram or hard drive ?

your hard drive is most likely your bottleneck. You should really invest in a good 7200 rpm hard drive with a nice amount of cache. If you can afford it, this is the most highly suggested model -

what's the latency of your ram because some of corsair's ram modules run at CL7 at ddr2 which is not a good mix.

i was check RPM.RPM is 7200 but cache is 8MB

Run HD tune on the HDD. If it is under 90, it is slow.

Probably the hard drive, my system runs decently with an athlon x2 5200+ and only 2 gb of ram.

Yup. With all these new fast chips the HDD bottleneck sneeks up on you real fast.
