Why so many boards for Intel than AMD?

I was looking for a replacement motherboard and other cool parts, as I do when money wants to escape my wallet, when I saw an AMAZING looking motherboard. Had all the feature I wanted and the color too! Too bad it was for intel and I use an AMD FX-6350. Moving on, I started to see a multitude of amazing boards with varying features and sizes that fell right into my budget range but not for my CPU. Now, my question: why is there, or at least seems like there is, a vastly wider selection of intel boards as apposed to AMD? No to say that AMD doesn't have neat stuff, just seems that i see more variety in intel and I was curious if there was a reason

That sucks. I kinda wanted a pretty motherboard for less than my soul lol
