why so many types of gpus?

guys, please help me out here, ive been looking for a gpu for my build, but the problem is i keep seeing the same card with different types like gtx 1070 has atleast 2 types, and the price difference is pretty big. I rlly am confused, also im looking for a good gpu for around 400 - 500 dollars at most, any ideas? all for gaming

What do you mean by gtx 1070 card types?
Can you provide links to those "types"?

GTX 1070 is a excellent GPU. If the price is right for you, and the rest of your PC can handle it, then go for it.

There's a 'Founders Edition', avoid that one unless it's just crazy cheap. Then there are the base 1070's, the Superclocked 1070's and the Super Superclocked 1070's all with increasing degrees of factory overclock specs. There are short versions for smaller cases which may only have one fan and the larger versions may have two or even 3 fans. Some have differing length of warranties. Pick one in your price range.
