Why such low score!?!?!?

I'm wondering why people are getting 50points better than i am in CPU speed. I don't get it. Help Please. See link for my system.

Well maybe they don't have classic athlons?

Maybe its the operating system?

Maybe its because you don't have pc-133?

If you go under details when the benchmark is finished you get a number and i was getting 150. When i made it Hardware T&L optimization i got 173 which is closer to what other people are getting. They are running hardware t&l also. I still wonder why im only getting 2320 in windows me. Any ideas??

Explain yourself more fully. Are you talking about 3DMark? What rigs to the other people have?

Yea in 3dmark2k. Im looking at the Online result browser and im comparing ppl with the same cpu and graphics card as mine and they're getting 300 or 400 points better than me.

Dont always trust those scores, often times people overclock their video cards and dont list it as such. Also FIC motherboards are not the fastest bunch out there. If your going up against a Asus K7M that could make around a 100point difference.

If your using ME as your OS and you want to increase a few points in your benchmark scores, first disable the GoBack recovery feature. Second make sure everything is defragged, and third do a fresh reboot and close all programs running in the background (Except explorer, and I think systray.) Start your benchmark, it should get you some extra points.

I wouldn't have got a fic mobo if it didn't come with my system. Unfortunantly its the compaq version and i can't flash it with the fic bios to make it the regular board. I would have oc'd it if i could monitor the temperature but i can't so its not gettin oc'd. Pretty soon i'll have a new system anyways.

There are many reasons. All of the above and a few more.
Turn off wallpaper and screensaver to free up video memory.
Overclock the crap out of your video card.Pixillation (sp?)dose'nt matter it is for the score.
Turn off V-sync.
Turn off Anti-alliasing.
Open-GL use page flip mode.
Turn off ECC in bios.
Set Windows swap file to 500mb min. /500mb max.
And the list goes on and on and on Depending on your hardware.
