Why was the EVGA GeForce GTX 770 discontinued?

Every time I by something for my PC, it either gets discontinued, or obsolete. Why would the discontinue the GTX 770?

I was going to buy another one and run them in SLI, but I'm not paying $497.00 for the only one I found on Amazon.

I'm so mad I can't see straight!

Because they released the 900 series cards. This makes the 700 cards last gen.

You can find them used on Amazon or Ebay for cheap.

If you can even find Nvidia GTX 770's, they are NOT cheap! New or used....

There are PLENTY of $200-$250 gtx770s.
