Question Why will my ryzen 3200g only work with 1 stick of ram

I have an asus prime mother board I used to use an athlon 200ge when I decided it wasnt good for what I was doing so I switched them out for some reason it will only boot with one stick of ram inside if boths sticks are inside the ports dont work and it dosnt give a display on monitor no bent cpu pins

And from a single kit and not separate packets?

I would try updating the BIOS to the latest version. With 2 sticks can you even get into the BIOS?

I cant get into bios with 2 but I have the latest version of bios

If your motherboard has 4 slots are you using the 2 specified in the motherboard manual for when running 2 sticks?

If when you put the old cpu back in everything works ok I’m beginning to think you have a cpu with a faulty RAM controller.

It only has 2 slots but I'm my brothers PC it works perfectly well I think its ram compatibility with the cpu
