Question Why won't CM hyper 212 rgb turn on lights when connected to motherboard?

Hi guys,

I have a b450 steel legend motherboard with a ryzen 5 2600 however I do have a cooler master hyper 212 rgb. I wanted for my motherboard to sync to it but when I connected the rgb cable to both 12v headers the rgb wouldn't turn on I know I can use the wired controller but I really want to connect it to the motheboard.

A fix would be greatly appreciated!

You would have to use the ASRock Polychrome RGB software along with the correct power connectors:

But I have already fixed the issue for some reason I needed to have my power supply turned on but pc off to connect the rgb connector to have the lights work when turning the pc on weird!
