why wont my 1999nissan infiniti G20 engage into any gear? it starts and you dont even have to push clutch in and you can shift

1999 INFINITI G20 I am stuck and have no clue how to diagnose this vehicle. some jackass ""detailed"" it by removing all seats, trim, screws and didnt put it back together completely and it keeps coming with more issues. I got the turn lights, head lights, and the thing to start. now it starts wiith no hitches whatever. the problem is that it will not shift into any gear. The last time it drove there was no problems and all of a sudden no gears.
