why won't my chrome launch?

I made the upgrade to windows 10 and am getting annoyed because I am unable to use my chrome browser as default. I have it set as default, but it still won't launch or open at all. I can search using google, but can't get chrome to launch? Any help appreciated, ready to go back to windows 8 already.

Hello,

Kindly try the following;

- Please try to uninstall your Google Chrome by going to Control Panel > click on " Uninstall a Program ".
- Look for and select Google Chrome and click on "Uninstall" .
- Follow the steps to uninstall your current Google Chrome.
- Restart your PC.
- Download and install the updated version of Google Chrome via https://www.google.com.ph/chrome/browser/desktop/
- Google Chrome should now be able to launch again.
