Question Why won't my Chromebook turn on?

I have an Asus C202 Chromebook. It is fully charged. If I have the lid closed and leave it alone overnight it will not turn on when I open the lid or when I press the power button. When I plug it in it turns on. A battery check says that the battery is all right so I don't know what the issue is. If I leave it turned off for a short time (30 minutes or so) and open the lid it comes back on. Any help on this would be appreciated.

The battery can be OK but still have diminished capacity.
