[SOLVED] Why won't my GPU send out a signal to my monitor

When I shut down my system last night, everything was working perfectly. When I have booted up this evening the monitor is showing a no signal message when the HDMI is plugged into the graphics card. The rest of the system is ok because there is a display when the HDMI is plugged into the motherboard and uses the onboard graphics.

Is there any explanation as to why this has happened?

Cheers

Solution
What card is it?

Usually a bad card will prevent a boot so it could be a PSU issue, as in the card isn't getting enough power. Check to see if the cables are still connected properly.

The only other thing I can suggest is if you can borrow a friends card or test your card in another system.
