[SOLVED] Why won't my motherboard detect new GPU?

CPU: Intel i7-10700k
Original GPU: nvidia gtx 1650 super
NEW GPU: Radeon rx 6800 xt
PSU: 650W bronze semi atx
Motherboard: MSI Tomahawk z490

It will not detect HDMI when plugged into GPU. It is not detecting GPU when looking in devices. Tried resetting windows. Can't download driver since it won't detect GPU. Uninstalled all Nvidia drivers. I am getting a new PSU with more power hoping this helps but nervous that it won't detect GPU at all. Tried using different PCI port. Tried reseating RAM. Fans don't spin on GPU but it lights up.

your psu is barely enough, although it doesn't sound like the problem

if possible the way to be sure before you start swapping parts is to try the GPU in another system.

It was the PSU. Got a 850W Gold and it worked.
