Question Why won't my new build display bios on my monitor?

ASUS ROG STRIX Gaming x470-i motherboard.

Solid white VGA light on the mobo. Fans spin up; graphics card lights up. But there's no display on the monitor. Tried going through the HDMI on the mobo (completely removed GPU); tried going through the GPU of course.

Components:
Ryzen 2700 (new)
samsung 970 pro
Corsair vengeance LPX 3000 DDRM 4 (8gb x 2)
Corsair 600 sfx PSU
rtx2080ti
Dan Case v4

How are you supposed to get any output if you don't have a GPU plugged in?

Had the same problem with the GPU installed. Tried through display port and hdmi through GPU.
I appreciate the tip on the 2700. Any suggestions that might fix the issue?

If the GPU requires 6-pin and/or 8-pin power cables, did you connect them?
