Hey! I have a AMD Radeon R9 270x graphics card but when I install the drivers it says "Installation complete (warnings occured during installation)" and then I check and it installed nothing! even when i hit uninstall it says nothing was installed! i even tried GPU-z to detect my graphics card but it just has my initial Intel HD graphics 4600 and detects nothing else! The fans on it are moving so I know power is going through! I dont know what to do! HELP!

Give it a try in the graphics card 😉

I tried that but i just get a black screen. i looked in another thread and it said to disable the old intel hd graphics 4600 and i did that then tried installing the driver and it still says the same thing. And i still get a black screen :C

Do the following and then get back:

>unplug GPU from slot and disconnect power connector
>plug cable into the mobo
>uninstall and sweep drivers of BOTH intel and amd using DriverSweeper
>shutdown
>plugin GPU and connect power connector
>plugin cable into GPU
>startup

IF you still get black screen = either GPU is busted or the Mobo
>try going into the bios and seeing whether the dGPU is selected as the Primary Graphics Adapter

IF it boots up
>install AMD drivers
>install Intel drivers

Report back in either case :)

Alright so I tried all of that and still got a black screen. i tried using a dvi cable and an hdmi cable and both didnt give a display. I really don't know what else to do, so I might go try and find out if my graphics card is faulty (Which would really suck) or if something is wrong with my motherboard (Would suck even more). If theres anything else Im willing to try it but No matter what I am unable to download the drivers for my graphics card, cant get my pc to detect my graphics card, and wont get a signal from my graphics card. all it does is spin its fans :C Onward to try friends graphics cards to see if they work in my pc!! ~Also this is what pops up when i try to download the drivers

If you have dGPU set as Primary Graphics Adapter in bios then it looks like a faulty GPU.

yep i just tried that and still no luck =T I tried onboard and the other option as well (I think it was psi-e express) and both didnt have my gpu pop up :C even with it plugged in it says its empty.

yeah i think it must be faulty. even with it set to use the pci-e graphics it still says nothing is there... as you can see below (I can see my attached devices useing my bios. I have gpu plugged into the top slot but i also tried the middle one as well.)

Sooo i have a little update. I talked to people at best buy and they said it must mean you have a faulty GPU. I decided im done with dealing with this old one so i just bought a brand new XFX Radeon R9 270X GPU. I plugged it in, plugged my DVI cable and BOOM, Still shows nothing. Fans spin and everything but my computer doesnt pick up any signal. Guys please help idk where else to turn. I might just Set everything back to default to hopefully fix the problem but i dont think thatll work either :C could it be my PCIE cables are broken?? (It came with the power supply but its a 8pin that splits into 2 6pin pcie)

SO NEW UPDATE. ONE OF MY PCIE PLUG INS MUST HAVE BEEN BROKEN BECAUSE I SWITCHED IT TO A DIFFERENT SLOT AND IT WORKS NOW. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
