My system specs are as follows
i7 4790k @4.8 GHz
MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
16 GB of RAM ( mixed sticks)
Asus GTX 1070 (stock clocks)
I usually put my computer in sleep mode when I am not gaming on it, and just recently I went to wake up my computer by tapping the power button, but instead of waking up, my computer immediately shut off and I got greeted to the Windows Error Recovery screen. I fiddled around with some settings in the BIOS but ended up going back to stock clocks just to see if I can even boot. Took about 4 or 5 tries of it resetting itself no matter what key I prompted with on the Windows Error Recovery screen, but eventually got back into Windows, and everything seems fine. What really confuses me is for the past 4-5 years I ran this overclock on my CPU and never had a problem with it.
Is there anything specific reason on what would cause this random occurrence?
