Ok so I did some research on wifi and Ethernet as I'm building a new PC. My wifi sucks and I would like to start streaming. I'm planning on going for Ethernet and therefore I want to make sure my PC is compatible for a Cat7 cable. I don't know if it's my motherboard that judges this but I'm planning on having an x370-pro for the Ryzen 7 1700. HELP!

Also, I am using an old Sky router and I don't know where the modem is as the router is plugged to the wall and the modem is somewhere... Anway I want a fast internet connection and I want to make sure if I can plug a Cat7 Ethernet cable from the router to the PC and work smoothly. THANKS!

If the actual router shuts down, both ethernet over the Cat5e and WiFi will be shut down.

A new router? First you have to determine the reason for the shut down.
A new router will not help if the issue is a crappy cable from the street, or a crappy LAN port on the motherboard.

1. You absolutely do not need "Cat7". Cat5e works just fine. Don't fall for the 'bigger number is better' thing.

2. You need to absolutely determine where all the relevant devices are. Modem, router, etc.

Ok, so the router is connected to a modem via Ethernet cable which I don't know where it is located because it runs inside the wall. My wirless internet is about 6 down and 1 up and I want to start streaming. My solution was to use a Cat7 Ethernet cable going from my PC that I am going to build soon to the router which is all the way downstairs. My router is manufactured by Sagemcom and it is a few years old. I want to figure a way to get a better connection whether it's wifi or Ethernet. Issues I have found is that the Internet always goes down and I have to travel to shut it off and back on about twice a day. Is it possible to switch the router or if it's the modem that does this and still have the same wifi service provider or is it the wifi itself that is too slow and can't be improved?

Buy a Cat5e of the required length.
Plug it in.
See what happens.

Ok but what if the router shuts down, will it affect Ethernet as well? Also, is it possible to keep the same service provider and buy a new router/modem and have no issues with provider and a faster and reliable wifi that doesn't randomly shut down?
