Guys, Sometimes I log in into a Wireless Network in a hotel, school or some Wi-Fi hotspot.
First thing they gave me is the username/password then. After opening my browser I was redirected into a log in screen. And I type the username and password that they gave to me.

What was that? Is that what they called the RADIUS Client? I'm confused about that authentication process? How does it work? Can I implement that kind of authentication here in my home because a lot of neighbor or visitors wants to connect to my Wi-Fi. Do that kind of process isolates them from accessing my network and the only thing that they can do is to surf the net?

When you log into a public facing WiFi, they may have some sort of authentication, as you have seen.

For your home network, all you need do is...do not give them the WiFi password.
Or...in some routers, there is a Guest Network function. If you wish to allow them use of your bandwidth, but not see any other devices in your internal LAN, give them the Guest Network password.

therefore, what kind of authentication is that? do you have some resources or knowledge that you can share ?
