wi-fi connection via a seconed router

How do I get my second router to connect to my existing internet?I have a BT home hub in my house of which I have run an Ethernet cable to my garage into a TP-link router, but cannot seem to pick up the internet? Please help

If the above seems too complicated (which I damn highly doubt) then the short way is Disable DHCP, plug wire into LAN port, and configure your SSID and password. Don't forget to choose a LAN IP for your router. If the main router is 192.168.0.1 then your second one needs to be anything BUT that! c:
