wi fi disconnecting from laptop when pc wifi adaptors on

on my PC i have a WIfi adapter but for some reason it wants to disconnect but it also disconnects my laptop. at 1st i thought it was my Internet connection since both were doing it. but if i turn off my PC my lap top work fine. but if you only have the PC on it still don't. so whats going on and how do you fix it?

Shut down both your modem, and router, and then reboot both. See if your router can get a firmware upgrade.

Reinstall the wifi driver for your PC. Try a different wifi adapter on the PC.
