wi-fi printer appears twice in "devices and printers"

I have an HP wi-fi printer that is also connected by USB directly to my PC.
Thus it shows up twice -- once in its USB-connected identity, and once in its network identity.

I want to get rid of the network identity, because the connection is poor, and every time I open up the windows scan tool, I am forced to choose between both printers, for every page I scan.

I tried deleting the network printer, but it just reloads itself.

Turn off the wifi on your printer and delete it

unistall the printer driver and on the reinstall choose only the usb connection that will solve your issue .
