Wi-Fi randomly disconnects, but router firmware is updated.

My wi-fi will work fine, then will randomly disconnect for anywhere from a second or two to a minute.

Everyone says to update the firmware on my router, but it is completely updated.

Model: Wireless dual band gigabit router (WNDR 3700v2)

What frequency is it running? If it's 2.5 make sure there aren't any devices such as microwaves nearby that is disrupting your signal. If you've eliminated this possibility and the problem persists there might be a possibility that it is a hardware issue, and in that case go buy another router.
