Question Wi-Fi Signal unstable

So i recently had this problem. My Aspire
ES1-524 laptop would connect to a network literally next to me, yet for some reason the signal is capped at 1 bar, 2 if lucky. What might have happened, and if so, what can i do about it? Thanks.

Has your laptop been disassembled for cleaning or SSD installation or something? The antenna, usually in the lid of the laptop could have become disconnected from the WIFI card.

It's an acer. 10:1 it's using a Realtek chipset and it's on the edge of burning out. Toshibas and Acers seem to have this problem. Overheating is another. Signal Strength goes normal to zero (signal drop) real quick. More so when transmitting lots of data.

Having owned both, I wouldn't touch either brand with a 10 foot pole.

Dells, HP's and Lenovos are good brands. But I don't trust Lenovo after the UEFI injection for adware.
