Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite A350-11N running on Windows 8. For months, the WiFi toggle has been greyed out and I am unable to switch it on, although the switch on my laptop is on and I have tried the Fn keys too - still with no change! In the past to fix the problem, I've used switching on the overmetred connection switch but this has made no difference either this time. It says my driver is running fine and the Troubleshooter just says my capability is simply off, but I just can't turn it on at all. Have had to use an Ethernet cable for months and I'm sick of it because I cant use my laptop anywhere else in the house, please help me to switch it back on!!!!!

Try this - Goto Control Panel > Network & Sharing Center

With the WiFi connection selected click on the link on the left hand side of the panel "Change Adaptor Settings"

Then when the new panel is opened you can right click on the WiFi connection icon and choose "enable/disable", "Status" or "Diagnose".

Your connection may have been accidentally disabled.
