Wi-Fi transfer slow!

So hello guys.
I have a problem with my wireless router.
Its a SpeedTouch TG782 router.
My download speed from my ISP is 8 Mbps and i download like 900kb/s-1000kb/s which is normal.
When i try to transfer files from my PC to my laptop wirelessly its very slow, like 600 kb/s. Also i tried streaming movies over the wifi from my pc to the laptop and to the phone, the movie bitrate was around 8-9mbps but i was only getting 2mbps on my laptop and phone.Shouldn't i be getting more speed? Like 30-40 Mbps?

1 antenna means it has to receive and then send so twice as much work, if one was wired it would be a lot faster or if it had 2 antennas 1for sending 1 for receiving.
